Version of 28 October 2026

  1. Who can use it. Only Google accounts the site owner has invited. Your account is for you alone.
  2. What is stored. Everything you log: foods, meals, entries, body readings (weight, blood pressure, blood sugar and the others), workouts and your settings, including the optional gender, birth year and height. It is stored on this site's server and backed up every 30 minutes to Cloudflare R2, where old versions are kept for 90 days. It isn't encrypted, except your AI keys.
  3. AI. When you log with text or photos, they are sent, with the foods and recent entries that help read them, to an AI provider. With Nutritionist AI, that is Google Gemini, under the site owner's account, on terms that don't let it use what you send to train its models, up to a daily number of uses (5 a day on the free plan). With your own key, it is the provider you choose (Gemini, OpenAI or Anthropic), under that provider's terms, and you pay for that use. Every AI use is recorded, and the site owner can see how many each person makes. Your body readings, about-you details and goals are never sent.
  4. Test cases. Every Review the AI reads is kept as a test case: its text, its photos, the foods and entries it was shown, what the AI proposed and what you saved. Test cases are used to measure and improve the app's accuracy. They are stored on this server and in a private GitHub repository; the site owner can look at them and sends them to an AI provider when testing. A test case is deleted when you delete its entry, 180 days after it was made, when you have more than 200 (the oldest goes first), or with your account. This is part of using the app and can't be turned off.
  5. Shared data. USDA foods you pick join a shared catalog that everyone searches, with nothing about you. Unit names you type are offered to others, without your foods or weights. When you change the weight of a USDA unit, your number is counted anonymously toward a fix a nutritionist may apply.
  6. Your data. You can export all of it at any time in Settings. Ask the site owner to delete your account and everything in it; backups expire within 90 days, and GitHub may keep removed copies for a short time.
  7. Free plan. Free members can make 20 changes and 5 Nutritionist AI uses a day, and can't change their time zone after their first sign-in.
  8. Not medical advice. Calories and nutrients are estimates and can be wrong. Don't rely on the app for medical decisions; talk to a doctor or dietitian.
  9. No guarantee. The app is run by a private person, as is. It may change or stop, and data can be lost despite backups.
  10. Changes. If this agreement changes, you'll be asked to accept the new version before using the app again.
